Pinerito

This drink is originally from Isla de Pinos (Pine Island), now the Isla de la Juventud, a small island south of Havana known for its beautiful black sand beach. Ernest Hemingway lived there for many years. Today his house is a museum.

Ingredients – serves 1:

• ½ cup grapefruit juice,
• ½ cup Rum,
• 2 cl lime juice,
• 2 cl Grenadine Syrup,
• 1 cup crushed ice,
• 1 Tsp sugar
• orange slice to garnish

Instructions:
Use a shaker for Pinerito cocktail recipe. Mix ingredients, shake well over ice cubes in a shaker and serve in champagne or highball glasses. Garnish with an orange slice.
